Loup Loup SnowSports School offers a variety of Group and Private Lessons, along with Lesson Programs and Specialized Clinics, taught by experienced and PSIA/AASI-certified instructors for downhill skiers and snowboarders. Telemark lessons are available with 1-week advance notice. Instructor requests are always welcome.
Welcome to Bird’s Adventure Ski Camps
Where Young Athletes Rise from Fledgings to Full Wingspan!
We believe that skiing is more than just a sport – it’s a journey of growth, confidence, and connection with nature. Our mission is to guide young athletes toward becoming confident and smooth free ride skiers, all while building their character for life. 2026 Full Wingspan Day Camps
Get a taste for “Full Wingspan” adventure in a life changing camp!
- Prerequisite: Ages 8 – 12* with a solid foundation in parallel skiing with poles, able to ski all runs on the Loup.
- Dates: Sundays, January 11th, 18th & February 1st. Choose one or multiple sessions.
- Time: 10 AM – 3 PM
- Bring: Sack lunch, ski gear, water bottle
- Fee: $200 per participant per day, maximum of 6 students per day. Registration deadline January 1, 2026
- All kids 15 and under get free lift passes at the Loup. Rental equipment and meals are not included in the clinic price.

Adventure Camps Registration
1. Log into the Loup eStore or sign up for an account if this is your first time using the eStore.
2. Navigate to Bird’s Adventure Camp in the eStore and click “View Product.” Select desired number of camp days (maximum of 3) and add to your cart. Once in your cart, you will be able to select specific camp dates and complete your purchase.

Adventure Camps Registration
- Contact our Lesson Coordinator at lessons@skitheloup.com with your Adventure Ski Camps request.
- After a quick conversation, intended to confirm that your youngster is up to the challenge, you will be given a Permission Code which allows the camp to be added to your cart in our eStore.
- Your spot in the camp will be held only when your purchase is complete.
Bird’s Adventure Ski Camp Sponsorship Competition
This year, Gordini Gloves has partnered with Bird to expand access to our Adventure Camp program. At the Loup, we’re committed to making skiing more accessible for every young adventurer. Thanks to Gordini, we are excited to offer one fully sponsored spot in any Adventure Camp session—Sunday, January 11th, 18th, or 25th—along with a free pair of Gordini gloves for the participant. In addition, Gordini will be giving away two more pairs of gloves to two additional applicants.
Eligibility:
Participants must be 8–12 years old and have a solid skiing foundation, including making parallel turns and using poles.
To be considered for the sponsorship or glove giveaway, please have your child respond to the following questions (approximately 50 words or fewer per question):
- Why would you like to participate in the Bird Adventure Camp?
- What do you hope to get out of this program?
- What does skiing mean to you?
The deadline to submit an entry is January 1st, 2026. Recipients will be announced by January 4th, 2026. Responses can be emailed to Michael ‘Bird’ Shaffer at bird@birdwhere.com.
Specialized Camps & Clinics
Loup Loup SnowSports School offers a variety of Specialized Camps & Clinics, taught by experienced and PSIA/AASI-certified instructors for downhill skiers and snowboarders.
GROUP LESSONS
Group Lessons are offered every Saturday, Sunday and select Holiday Weekdays at 10 AM for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders, ages 7 – Adult. These sessions are grouped by ability and last 60 – 90 minutes depending on the size of the group.
For best availabilities request your lesson at least 3 days in advance. Check in at the Lesson Window one hour prior to the start of the lesson.
$50/person
Lift tickets and equipment rental are not included in lesson fee. Lesson purchases are not refundable.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Offered every operational day from 9 AM – 3 PM for ages 6* – Adult, Private Lessons feature exclusive ski or snowboard one-on-one instruction from beginning to advanced skill-levels, tailored to your specific goals. Telemark instruction is available on select days with advance notice.
Take advantage of our nationally certified professional level Instructor staff… tune up your turns, refine techniques, break past plateaus, conquer new terrain, progress past current levels of ability, and more.
$100/hour
For best availabilities request your lesson at least 3 days in advance. Check in at the Lesson Window one hour prior to the start of the lesson.
Lift tickets and equipment rentals are not included in the lesson price. Lesson purchases are not refundable.
*Please do not reserve more than one hour for your 6-year-old unless they are an experienced skier or boarder, accustomed to being outside in cold weather for long periods of time.
SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Add family members and friends of similar abilities to your Private Lesson for $50/hour for each additional participant. A full price Private Lesson purchase is required to unlock Semi-Private pricing.
PRIVATE TELEMARK LESSONS
Take advantage of one of the only telemark training programs in the Northwest. Please allow at least one-week advance notice for your Telemark request. Lift ticket and equipment rental are not included in lesson fee. Check our rental shop for equipment availability.
LITTLE TIKES LESSONS
Ski instruction only. This is a great option for the first time your 4 – 6 year-old is exposed to skiing. On the day of instruction, check in at the Lesson Window 30-minutes in advance to complete registration. Lift tickets for this age group are free.
$50 for 30-minute Lesson
Equipment rental is not included in lesson fee.
MOMMY, DADDY & ME
The Mommy/Daddy & Me Ski Program is for ages 4 – 6, accompanied by one parent or guardian, who is already a proficient skier.
Parent/guardian will assist the instructor by getting their child back on their feet after a fall, helping them get up the rope tow/Poma and noticing when it’s time for a snack/bathroom break.
For the adult, the major benefit of this program is to absorb the instructional language and techniques to support your child on the slopes long after the program is complete and to perhaps pick up some helpful pointers for their own progress.
On the day of instruction, check in at the Lesson Window 30-minutes in advance to complete registration.
$250/1 child + 1 adult (4 one-hour lessons)
Lift tickets are free for ages 15 and under. Parent/Guardian must purchase retail price lift tickets to accompany their child. Equipment rental is not included in the lesson fee.
