Loup Loup SnowSports School offers a variety of Specialized Camps & Clinics, taught by experienced and PSIA/AASI-certified instructors for downhill skiers and snowboarders.

Women’s Ski Clinic with Heather Roberts

10 AM – 3PM

Sharpen your Alpine skills with PSIA Certified Level 3 Heather Roberts! Heather, former divisional staff member and current instructor at Mission Ridge, started teaching as a teenager at Stevens Pass and has spent her life working at being a better skier. Heather loves to share all the things that make skiing easier and more fun!

Who?

Calling all women & girls, aged 14 to Adult with a solid foundation in parallel skiing on most of the Loup runs. You don’t need to be a pro but this clinic is not for the complete beginner. If you are a beginning level skier, check out our Group and Private lessons!

How much?

Fee is $70* per person with an 8 participant minimum. Encourage your girlfriends to join to make sure we meet the minimum registrations!

9:30 AM Check in at the Ticket Window
10 AM – 12 PM Clinic on The Mountain
12 PM – 1 PM Lunch Break
1 PM – 3 PM Clinic on The Mountain
3 PM Apres Ski in the Lodge!

*Price does not include lift tickets or rental equipment. All participants must have a season pass with them or must purchase a single day lift ticket. Rentals can be arranged through our shop on the mountain.

Specialized Seniors Ski Clinic with Jake Dragseth

Jake is the Loup Loup Ski School Academy Director. He has achieved multiple national accreditations with Professional Ski Instructors of America. As a “Senior Specialist Trainer” he brings to the mountain specific training insights for seniors.

Being a senior himself, Jake understands the challenges facing older skiers and offers individualized training that improves stamina, minimizes risk and builds techniques that make skiing much easier. Keep it fun and safe. Learn new types of turns that make skiing easier and manage fatigue to extend your skiing days.

This clinic is as much a social time, having fun on the hill, as it is learning how to:

  • Design your skiing to match your abilities.
  • Redefine your turns to extend your skiing day.
  • Enhance techniques to minimize risk.
  • Examine body stance and movements that allow you to rest during phases of your turn.

Participants can expect to receive personal movement analysis, learn about equipment updates and explore new types of turns.

Who?

For ages 55+ who are competent skiing most runs on the Loup. You don’t have to be an expert, but this clinic is not for the beginner. If you are a beginning level skier, check out our Group and Private lessons!

How much?

Fee is $70* per person. Limit of 8 participants.

Mastery Ski Clinic with Tony Case

Sunday, February 15th
10 AM – 3PM

Tony Case is an expert level ski trainer who is nationally certified by Professional Ski Instructors of America. He has over 40 years of experience as an instructor and trainer and is considered to be one of the most skilled skiers on our mountain.

In this clinic you will be coached on techniques for advanced turning, body posture for managing fatigue, tactics for speed management, and whatever else comes up in your session.

Gain confidence, versatility, efficiency and flow! Small class size ensures lots of personal attention.

Who?

For ages 20 years-old to Senior who are already competent skiers, making parallel turns on most of the Loup runs and looking to improve skills. If you are a beginning level skier, check out our Group and Private lessons!

How much?

Fee is $70* per person. Limit of 8 participants.

Welcome to Bird’s Adventure Ski Camps

Where Young Athletes Rise from Fledgings to Full Wingspan!

We believe that skiing is more than just a sport – it’s a journey of growth, confidence, and connection with nature. Our mission is to guide young athletes toward becoming confident and smooth free ride skiers, all while building their character for life. Whether you’re just starting to spread your wings or ready to take your skiing to new heights, our camps will help you fly on skis.  Instructor: Michael “Bird” Shaffer – Professional Skier & Coach

2026 Full Wingspan Day Camps

Get a taste for “Full Wingspan” adventure in a life changing camp!

  • Prerequisite: Ages 8 – 12* with a solid foundation in parallel skiing with poles, able to ski all runs on the Loup.
  • Dates: Sundays, January 11th, 18th & February 1st. Choose one or multiple sessions.
  • Time: 10 AM – 3 PM
  • Bring: Sack lunch, ski gear, water bottle
  • Fee: $200 per participant per day, maximum of 6 students per day. Registration deadline January 1, 2026
  • All kids 15 and under get free lift passes at the Loup. Rental equipment and meals are not included in the clinic price.

Adventure Camps Registration

2. Navigate to Bird’s Adventure Camp in the eStore and click “View Product.” Select desired number of camp days (maximum of 3) and add to your cart. Once in your cart, you will be able to select specific camp dates and complete your purchase.

Adventure Camps Registration

  1. Contact our Lesson Coordinator at lessons@skitheloup.com with your Adventure Ski Camps request.
  2. After a quick conversation, intended to confirm that your youngster is up to the challenge, you will be given a Permission Code which allows the camp to be added to your cart in our eStore.
  3. Your spot in the camp will be held only when your purchase is complete.

Bird’s Adventure Ski Camp Sponsorship Competition

This year, Gordini Gloves has partnered with Bird to expand access to our Adventure Camp program. At the Loup, we’re committed to making skiing more accessible for every young adventurer. Thanks to Gordini, we are excited to offer one fully sponsored spot in any Adventure Camp session—Sunday, January 11th, 18th, or 25th—along with a free pair of Gordini gloves for the participant. In addition, Gordini will be giving away two more pairs of gloves to two additional applicants.

Eligibility:


Participants must be 8–12 years old and have a solid skiing foundation, including making parallel turns and using poles.

To be considered for the sponsorship or glove giveaway, please have your child respond to the following questions (approximately 50 words or fewer per question):

  • Why would you like to participate in the Bird Adventure Camp?
  • What do you hope to get out of this program?
  • What does skiing mean to you?

The deadline to submit an entry is January 1st, 2026. Recipients will be announced by January 4th, 2026. Responses can be emailed to Michael ‘Bird’ Shaffer at bird@birdwhere.com.
